The #2200 sleeve control valve is installed at the Dashu Interception Station, located at the administrative boundary between Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County. This valve serves as a critical node within the Nanhua–Kaohsiung–Pingtung Interconnection Pipeline system. Its primary function is to facilitate emergency dispatching of clean water reserves from the Nanhua Reservoir during periods when raw water turbidity in the Gaoping River (Kaohsiung–Pingtung River) reaches excessive levels due to typhoon events.
